Bloodsport was a mid 80's punk band from Chicago featuring members of Strike Under and later on The Effigies. Only being around for a short while, they released one EP before calling it quits. Their 'Chicago sound' is certainly apparent fitting right in with NAKED RAY GUN. I found this record at a skate shop with a small batch of punk lp's and was pretty intrigued by the machine bots cover and Homestead tag. I've probably played this at least once or twice every show quarter, making it quite the go to record for me. All in all, its full of fast pace picking and descending bass lines blurring somewhere between punk and thrash. If your a Homestead records fan, or into Chicago bands I highly recommend this one. hg.
